Planning and Development Authority, Dadra & Nagar Haveli (DNHPDA) is engaged with several development undertakings of the Union Territory, the riverfront of Daman Ganga being a part of this development. The project aims to be developed as an Eco and Recreational tourism. It will serve as a major public space for the locals and act as an added attraction for the tourists. Walkways, theme based plazas, river interface plazas, garden of local species, nature trails, food court, pedestrian bridge over the river are some of the salient features of the project.

The Daman Ganga Riverfront is planned in accordance with the site topography and the existing drainage pattern. The riverbed comprises of exposed Basalt rocks –a prominent feature of the landscape integrated with the design. Plazas and walkways are designed at two levels allowing the lower walkways and ghats to submerge during the seasonal water rise.
