Kandukur is a municipality and Mandal headquarters in Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh. It was selected under the GIS-based Master Plan initiative, and the Master Plan was prepared under the AMRUT Scheme.

The Master Plan established a long-term land use and spatial framework to guide development while responding to the town's natural ecosystem and infrastructure requirements. It sought to strengthen existing economic activities through improved road infrastructure, while commercial and mixed-use zones were planned along major roads to leverage land value and generate revenue. Kandukur has two lakes and one major stream. The Master Plan conserved these natural features through green buffers and by aligning roads with existing drainage patterns. This approach integrated the natural rainwater drainage system with the proposed urban structure while facilitating the implementation of water supply and drainage infrastructure.
